DD Peruvian Seraphim

DD Peruvian Seraphim

Seraphim, right side.

Seraphim, left side.

Seraphim's dam, DD Michelangelo's Alpha and Omega.

Seraphim's sire, LODA's Jon Luc.

One look and you will appreciate the outstanding presence on Seraphim - a yearling male. He stands very square and proud, his conformation is perfect with pleasing proportions, dense bone, heavy leg coverage and a beautiful head.

He is just as good looking inside his fiber where you see a bright well-defined fleece and feel a luscious buttery handle. His fiber is dense, dense, dense, zipper crimped with consistent architecture to boot.

Seraphim is the son of two of Dos Donas Alpaca Farm’s top huacayas Michelangelo's Alpha and Omega and LODA's Jon Luc, aka Lucca. Omega's dam was one of the first females Dos Donas biopsied and her mate was chosen based on biopsy statistics, as well. Omega’s biopsy is well above her dam's and definitely above average for huacayas, in general. Dos Donas Alpaca Farm uses skin biopsies in their breeding program and Seraphim's sire Lucca was purchased for his biopsy statistics, as well. The selling point was his narrow spread--his primary fibers are very close in diameter to his secondaries.

With his great looks and a personality to match, this guy will make a great herdsire.

All alpaca have been halter trained.

  • Omega has a strong frame and large bone. However, it is her correct proportions and presence that always draws the attention. Omega was only shown once, but took a first in a competitive class at the Indiana Invitational. Omega's sire was chosen for his density and on this trait he did not disappoint. Omega's fleece is extremely dense (about 20 follicles/mm sq above average) and consistent. It is this consistency of micron that gives her such a wonderful handle. Omega has proven herself to be a good dam who throws color when bred to color. Both of her offspring have had her coverage, frame and presence.

  • LODA'S Jon Luc (Lucca) is simply awesome! His magnificent head, perfectly balanced frame and amazing coverage demand attention from afar. Up close, Lucca's Championship winning fiber is stunning- extremely dense with highly defined crimp and a handle so soft and buttery it has to be experienced first-hand. His two year histogram has a comfort factor of 99%! Lucca has competed in a sea of competitive white males from top breeding programs such as Magical Farm and Crescent Moon. Show after show he has consistently proven himself to be among the best of the best. To be competitive at this level is rare and speaks volumes about his quality. Lucca's full Peruvian pedigree reads like a who's who of alpaca genetics. His sire is 2 time GET OF SIRE winner, Maple Brook Barnabus, aka "Mr. Fine". Barnabus's dam is none other than 2Peruvian Cleopatra, a great producer from the Accoyo herd. Her offspring include such notables as Maple Brook Fandango.
