MFI Peruvian Callista

I so badly wanted to fit a dark-colored female into our foundation herd and I knew Callista, a distinctive full Peruvian female with super alpaca genetics was the one for me at first sight. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to fit her into our planned budget for my foundation herd.

However, I never forgot that girl with the compact frame, perfect conformation and astounding fleece character with density and bundling crimp. I continually looked at her photo, commenting to my husband how much I wished I could have found a way to purchase MFI Peruvian Callista.

What a surprise, several months later when my husband brought her home as a combined birthday, Christmas, wedding anniversary gift for me.

I was thrilled to have Callista join our foundation herd. Who wouldn’t be with her good looks and impressive pedigree that dates back to Peruvian Bueno and includes Peruvian Dakotia (sire of MFI Peruvian Jericho?)

When bred to black, Callista has produced one beautiful dark brown female cria for us. I absolutely love this girl for abilities in denseness and color and look forward to soon choosing her next herdsire.

All alpaca have been halter trained.
